Chinese-style Socialism Ruling Chinese is the most easy work in the world. When Chairman Mao told Chinese that the socialism was good for China, Chinese believed it. During the Great Leap Forward, they were told making iron and steel in the backyard could make the country leap forward and surpass U.S. and U.K. They believed it. In 1989, they were told those students occupied Tiananmen Square were rebels and should be killed. They believed it. You can see how easy it is to rule these people.

In the old China, an official could show off his power by pointing at a deer and calling it a horse, and nobody dared to correct him. Now I keep telling Chinese that we are doing the Chinese-style socialism. They believe it. In fact, I am pointing at capitalism and calling it socialism. Nobody in China dares to say I am wrong.
